Angel Rolland

Angel Rolland was born on August 16, 1983, in Lansing, Michigan, to Darlene

Rolland and Arthur Watson. Raised in Lansing, Angel attended Sexton

High School and was known for a vibrant spirit, a deep love of music, and

a remarkable talent for drawing. Angel found joy in cooking, fishing, and

spending time with family and friends. With a heart full of compassion, Angel

always cared deeply for others and left a lasting impression on everyone who

crossed their path.

Angel’s memory will be cherished by a loving partner, Marcus Jefferson Jr., of

Lansing, Michigan, and their five children: Jremaine Rolland, Day’Anna Jackson,

Tay’Anna Rolland, Ari’Anna Rolland, and Niy’Anna Rolland. Angel also

embraced eight bonus children: Rickisha, Raquel, Andrew, Timpris, Ta’Quan,

Tavontae, Elijah, and Terprece. Angel was excited to welcome a grandchild,

A’Zillyah Jackson, soon to arrive.

Angel is survived by three sisters:Erica Lee, Sharia Cantrell, Sheena Watson,

And a host of brothers: Vie Rolland, Andre Watson, Ramon Watson, Lararon

Watson, Markies Watson(Kristien Watson), Arron Champion.

Angel’s legacy continues through many nieces and nephews, including

Ty’Onna, Amohni, Talaysia, Tianna, Amarie, Lamya, Laparis, Armani, Tyshaun,

Damondra, Marquesha, Deasia, Destiny, Tajiona, Tylexia, Nautasia, Ah’mani,

Ky’ona, Ariana, Dre’Yona, Cherish, Seraphina, Ezariah, Malachi, Amire,

Ra’Quown, Ricardo, Dominque, Raheem,Tyquan, Ja’Lell, Laron, Messiah,

Jeremiah, Ke’Andre, ZyShoun,and Roman Jr.

Angel was preceded in death by beloved siblings, aunts, uncles, nephew, dear

friends, and her cherished grandmother, Erma Jean Rolland. Their memory lives

on in the hearts of many, including special friends Carmenita Malcolm, Candace

Matthew, Shawn, Tonya Ford, Tyonna William,(Aunt)Johnie, Lashane Jones,

Angela Jenkins, Diane Mushatt, and Breanna Jones.

Angel was also blessed with a large extended family, including aunts Anita

Oglesby, and Letiza Ballard; uncles John Rolland, Daryl Taylor (Luecetta), Alvin

Oglesby, and Anthony Oglesby; and many cousins including Cashious Rolland,

Drique Blackmon, Ashley Love, Priscilla Hooper, Quasha, Latoya Lewis,

Malayshá Love, Yolanda “Nonnie,” Tece, Esha, Kevin Kemp, Quarie Cager, Daryl

(lil Daryl), Mesee, LaQuan Houston, Maurice(Mooka)Bell and many more.
